PRISMA Scenario Protocol

PRISMA, a Horizon Europe funded project (grant agreement No. 101081604) coordinated by the CMCC Foundation, is excited to share the PRISMA Scenario Protocol – which also invites other IAM teams to contribute modelling runs – designed to analyse the implications of regionally differentiated roll-backs on the ambition of net-zero climate strategies and to quantify the climate and economic consequences of disrupted decarbonization plans and the costs of making up the lost time. This innovative approach takes into account 4 main scenarios: Meet Aspirations; Asymmetric Roll-Back; Late Reawakening; Staying Alive.

A harmonised dataset for Earth system foundation models

Foundation models for Earth systems have so far been trained primarily on physical climate and weather data, with limited representation of the human systems that both drive and respond to environmental change. The lack of a unified global training resource that combines climate, land, ocean, cryosphere, infrastructure, hazards, and socioeconomic
