The launch event of the OECD report “The Economic Benefits of Air Quality Improvements in Arctic Council Countries” will take place online on the 28th of April 2021 between 1PM and 2PM (CEST) and is co-organised by the OECD and Iceland’s Arctic Council Chairmanship.

This launch event invites policymakers and representatives from NGOs, academia and other stakeholders to learn about the benefits of air pollution policies. This event will allow participants to untangle the possible opportunities, pitfalls and limits that air pollution policies may have for human health, the economy and the Arctic ecosystem. It will also invite representatives and experts from various Artic Council countries and institutions to discuss practical and policy considerations. The session will feature a presentation of OECD’s work on the benefits of reducing air pollution in Arctic Council countries, followed by a discussion with relevant stakeholders, including policymakers and the researchers that authored the report.
