Starting on January 13th 2022, IEA-ETSAP organizes three webinars on expanding the boundaries of integrated assessment and energy modelling, incorporating new systemic inter-dependencies in a broader sense and contributing to a more holistic understanding of the transition to a carbon-free economy. The webinars address different sustainable development goals and their interaction with the energy system. The main objectives are:

  • To analyze methodologies for integrating sustainable development goals into energy systems modelling.
  • To assess required associated data.
  • To provide insights on the value-added gained for policy analysis.
  • To get insights on state-of-the-art synergies and tradeoffs between Sustainable Development Goals and energy transition through robust research evidence and ideas.
