The Model Documentation and Transparency working group has released a rebuilt documentation portal, with a common structure for describing model scope, versions and assumptions.

The Institute of Science, Technology and Policy at ETH Zurich has just launched the Carbon Removal Lab. It conducts policy analyses addressing financing and acceptance challenges in the context of large-scale CCS deployment. Specifically, the Lab addresses deployment challenges by conducting two projects on key policy design questions for Carbon Dioxide Removal technologies, in particular focusing on CCS. The first project addresses the financing challenges connected to large-scale deployment of CCS deployment, while the second project examines public opinion on policies that could potentially incentivise Carbon Dioxide Removal.
The main goal of the Carbon Removal Lab is to identify policies that effectively incentivise CCS deployment on a larger scale but are politically feasible in view of widespread public concerns about different aspects of CCS. Doing so, we apply an interdisciplinary and policy-focused research approach following in the footsteps of previous ISTP projects.
