SCI Launches the Scenario Compass: A New Global Emissions Scenario Database

After three years of development, the Scenario Compass Initiative (SCI) has officially launched the Scenario Compass — a comprehensive database featuring more than 1,500 global emissions scenarios.

The platform includes scenarios assessed in IPCC AR6, as well as newly published scenarios developed since its release. In addition to the dataset itself, the Scenario Compass provides feasibility and sustainability assessments, offering researchers and policymakers a transparent, accessible resource for global pathways.

Would you like your scenario to be included in the Scenario Compass? The submission of new scenarios will be possible from the second half of March onwards.
