For the past 10 years, the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) have been a central tool of scenario development and policy analysis. The “Basic Drivers” (GDP & population projections) have now been updated by the teams at IIASA (Samir KC et al.) and the OECD (Rob Dellink et al.) to reflect recent trends.

The IIASA Scenario Services team also set up a new Scenario Explorer interface to make the updated basic drivers and the 2017/2018 IAM quantifications available to the research community in a state-of-the-art, interactive and user-friendly web interface. Visit https://ssp.apps.ece.iiasa.ac.at/ to explore the new SSP Scenario Explorer!
